THE "TARGET TWELVE" WORKOUT MODULES

The flagship program of FreshImpact called "Ways to Improve Your Character... and Everything Else" provides "do-it-yourself" character fitness training focusing on twelve key character traits that we call "target traits." They are (in alphabetical order) courage, diligence, generosity, gratitude, honesty, humility, industry, integrity, perseverance, resourcefulness, respect, and vigor.

We provide individual training workouts with an introductory video and a 30-exercise full-color workout flipbook and downloadable/printable PDF for each trait. (An optional hardcopy of each book is also available for purchase.) Just scroll down the page to view a brief 2-3 minute overview of each module. Then pick some trait you want to improve, click on MORE INFO to see all the details in each module.

How to Become More Courageous

Courage vies for supremacy among the character traits, because most of the time making good choices requires facing challenges or difficulties that tempt us to shy away. You can't go wrong practicing courage. I'll show you how.

How to Become More Diligent

One of the greatest gifts you can give to other people is to be diligent. They're counting on you to come through on your promises and responsibilities. When you don't, they get left hanging. Imagine how much more positive impact you'll have when you become more diligent. I've got a bunch of exercises for you that will help.

How to Become More Generous

Generosity is not just a matter of giving away money or possessions. There's a spirit of generosity that makes everyone around you feel appreciated. Couple that with how free you feel when you learn to give away your time and efforts to help others. It's hard to know who benefits more from your generosity. You or them? But can you actually become more generous? No doubt. It's not that hard. You just have to practice getting in the right frame of mind. I can help you get there.

How to Become More Grateful

Check around the internet and you'll find lots of advice about living gratefully. The trick is not just noticing reasons to be grateful; it's about ways to express it. Bottom line: Gratitude doesn't truly exist much less develop until it's expressed. I'll give you a bunch of exercises guaranteed to show you how to spot opportunities to show gratitude, how it's expressed and develops.

How to Become More Honest

What's everyone's biggest worry when it comes to trusting other people? "Can I believe what they tell me? Are they really who I think they are?" The more honest you are, the more people can trust you. The more they trust you, the healthier your relationships. The healthier your relationships, the more true contentment you'll experience. I'm going to teach you how to be honest and how not to be afraid of it.

How to Become More Humble

The common view of humility is really messed up. People go at it completely opposite from the way true humility works. Watch the videos and go through the exercises and you'll approach humility the right way. Then ironically you'll wind up feeling really good about yourself even as you're making other people feel way better about themselves, too.

How to Become More Industrious

One of the unintended consequences of our technology-rich culture is how we can obtain and learn so many things without nearly as much effort as used to be required. I'm going to show you how to become a harder worker and love it at the same time. Beyond being a blessing to other people, you'll be like cream: You'll rise to the top in the minds of people who are counting on you to help them get things done.

How to Have More Integrity

Perhaps nothing helps a person more when laying their head on a pillow at the end of the day than knowing they lived that day with integrity. Without it, there is deep restlessness, not to mention the likelihood of messed up relationships. No matter how much integrity you have right now, you can never go wrong becoming stronger in this area. I've got a really creative "integrity check" system that I'm excited to teach you to use.

How to Have More Perseverance

All of us could use more perseverance on occasion in our lives. The question is whether we need it more often than we have it to give. When you're facing hardships, or unexpected circumstances, or things taking a lot longer than you imagined, are you the kind of person who can just keep going? Most of the important things in our life involve a series of marathons, not sprints. Most people you live and work with need you to keep pressing through. Want to learn how to do that even under the toughest of circumstances? Check out this module.

How to Become More Resourceful

Maybe you never thought of resourcefulness as a character trait because it involves things like using duct tape to repair a lawnmower. But it's so much more than that. Resourcefulness involves the will and creativity to come up with a Plan A, or B or C all the way through Plan Z if necessary to solve problems. That's way more important than figuring out how to make a dog collar out of paper clips. In fact, as you will learn in this module, resourcefulness is a basic ingredient of most other character traits. So it's worth practicing the exercises in this module to become more resourceful. Why not give it a go?

How to Become More Respectful

Can anyone doubt there has been a precipitous decline in respectfulness in our post-modern culture? There is no specific group to blame; we all need to own up to our contribution to that problem. There doesn't seem to be a way to bring about sweeping cultural change. But each of us occupies a significant place in our own small worlds where change is easier to effect, if we ourselves would rediscover and redevelop the trait of respect. How about it? Want to make a habit of giving people one thing they long for and at the same time change the atmosphere of all your relationships? I can show you how.

How to Become More Vigorous

Be honest... do you go around most days with a spring in your step? Or do you often move like you're carrying a 50 pound weight on your shoulders? It's hard not to when so much of our lives involve repetitious routines and uninspiring responsibilities. And yet haven't you come across at least one or two people in your life who inspire you with their genuine enthusiasm and energy? Want to develop that habit in your life and become one of those inspirational, vigorous people? I've got some exercises that will show you how to head in that direction.
